Great pieces of work that you can only really expect from Wall Mart. What I've always loved about and been suprised about with a store like ASDA is how much they embrace the holiday seasons.
The other day I went down to the Asda store in Pudsey as it's one of the larger flagship stores in Yorkshire and I'd heard about some cool little character designs they were using in and around the stores. Rather than snapping away I thought I'd take a rolling video because items such as the floor print was so big it couldnt really be recorded the same as still's. What I like about it is how it's been made interactive. You follow a little journey meeting the characters and walking around the twisty paths. The quality of the drawings are great and very similar to the Toys r Us post, there's a clear use of the three dimensional layering of the cards and straggering. I really really like this. It's an over used term in this industry and it's kinda' obvious to this but it really does make the image 'pop'. Great effect anyway and I'd be really interested to run some tests in seeing if it could apply to me work.
